Matty
Licenses are good until Dec 31st. (goes by calendar year) You need a new license January 1st. Permits are good until the season is over. (isn't effected by calendar year) “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. Matty
November of 2012? No.... November of 2013.... yes and depending on the zone, it could be good into February of 2014. "Six day" is covered by an "All Around" or "Firearms" license. Fall and Winter bow are covered by an "All Around" or "Bow" license. Everything else related to big-game in NJ is by permit. Permit bow, permit shotgun, permit muzzy, etc.... jerseyhunter 1 “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. jerseyhunter
Matty got it, but I believe it is written on the permits/license the exp dates. I could be wrong as I haven't checked since they came out.
BowhunterNJ
Permits are good for the specified season dates (the current season being 2013-2014) Licenses are good for the calendar year. A permit/zone/doe tag is good for taking ONLY a doe for that permit season in that specific zone. You must also buy a buck tag that can be used in any zone for a given permit season if you want to shoot a buck in a permit season. Worth adding, if you bought a permit for a season and that season has already begun, then you can't purchase a buck stub for that permit season. You have to buy the buck stub either with the first permit/zone/doe tag for that season or BEFORE it starts (if you didn't buy it when you got your first permit/zone/dog tag). Right now, you can hunt 6-day firearm with your firearm license and take 2 bucks with that license.
