In the week since I posted this I’ve now caught 3 coons. Biggest lesson learned don’t give up on an area if you believe in it.

We received good money for our furs back then so we could afford good bait... trapping is a labor of love today

Got another coon this morning. You guys weren’t lying now I’m asking myself how to determine how many to remove from 1 area. Roughly 10 acres. Don’t wanna totally deplete. All good size ones so far.

You won't deplete them. Set it till you don't catch for s week. You will catch the cream and leave seed

Good stuff!  I don't care who you are or how long you've been trapping, this thread gave a lot of good information.  One thing I've learned is, if you have friends that golf they aren't very willing to give up their golf balls.
