Feel naked out here in z5 without bow release on hand.  Got this thing with a scope on it hanging in the tree - HR 20ga with 3” accutips.  Carrying my dad's folding buck knife. He loved opening day of shotgun.  Really hard for me to get out.  My least favorite week of hunting of the year. Maybe today will change that. Have not seen a shooter buck in the area since the one I missed on 11/3 - but ya never know. If it’s dead around here may try z2 later. Oh and just remembered I do have a bear tag.  If one comes by it’s a game time decision - if I do that it would be just to have one less pain in the ass bear around.  Good luck.

Brightest star/planet I ever seen under the moon in the southeastern sky right now.  Anyone know what that is?

In zone 10. Just got in tree. Super pumped as I always am. Let's hope it goes better than my last 22 years. Was able to slip in quiet without bumping any deer off the bait peak morning movement is 7-10am. Should be a great hunt. Never felt better.

You've gotta be kidding me. Just had a coyote at 15 yards wide open. Would have loved to smoke it. Never had an opportunity at a coyote other than the 1 I shot predator hunting last yr. Couldnt ruin the hunt at daybreak and might be a few mins before legal shooting light althoigh he was clear as can be . Hope he comes back later.

I got a deer walking in from my truck down the trail I walked in I sprayed doe in heat the whole walk in

140 yard and closing


As I type another Deer on bait where coyote just went off to.
