Isn't it amazing that the buck in the picture would be a buck of a lifetime here in NJ but up there it's just an average buck.  Even 2 1/2 year olds up there go over 200# and upwards of 130".   The one time I got to hunt in Manitoba, there were a few bucks killed and one of the bucks dressed at 297# and was a 142" 8point, a legitimate monster whitetail.   Every other buck was over 200#. Those are the toughest deer on earth.  They have to deal with extreme cold, wolves, coyotes.  Truly survival of the fittest.   Good luck to you.
