Went to my local WaWa for coffee asked the manager what happens to the old donuts & bread, of course he said we toss them out, why you asked? Told him I will supply the bags and pick up anytime he wants me too I need it for bear bait, he then said NO!!!  I guess being honest isn't always the best bet !!!

just after typig the above, my daughters asked me what do bears like.....so I told them. They asked for a large trash bag, they looked in the cabinets, and the chest freezer for anything out of date or freezer burn. They filled up the bag 1/2 way with old hambuger/hot dog rolls, white bread, old chips, halloween candy, crackers of all kind.......I told them no meat, as I still want deer to come in......Those are my girls, just wished at least one of them would want to hunt

Also, if you can find an in with a local place that isn't corporate owned, try to find a restaurant that will give or sell you old deep fryer oil.  Back home in PA, my dad's friend would get old oil from a chicken restaurant and take it up to his cabin and pour the grease over logs to draw in the bears.  He wasn't a hunter and you can't bait them anyway there, but he did it because he liked to draw the bears in and watch and photograph them.  He would saw off logs and drill holes all through them and pour that oil down inside of them and the bears would tear them all apart.  It worked wonders.

Yup... Its terrible how sue happy people have created so much waste and distroyed so much good will in this country.. And the only people who have benefited are lawyers and people in the insurance industry..Scumbags... Now if you will excuse me, Im busy planning a trip to the virgin islands for the holidays... take care..

what I'm going to do is, I still want the deer to come in as well as bears. So with that said I will continue with corn and a feed block, will re-bait early tomorrow, then on Saturday. If they are still hitting it they I will re-bait on Monday or Tuesday, then on Friday, Saturday of next week and maybe on Sunday, if by chance they aren't hitting it, then I will get bread, and bread products from work
