With this heat wave decided to sit over a watering hole on the edge of a swamp this evening. Had a 6 chasing does here Saturday hope something a bit bigger strolls through tonight.

Just got set up in the blind in Z 49.  A little later then I wanted but work got in the way.  Hit a nice 8 at 2:30 in the morning with my work car.  It’s a shame because he had some really good potential.  Hopefully they are moving tonight. I have had at least 6 different shooters come in since Friday. I am starting to feel like they know what days I am going to get out. Good luck to everyone.

Out in z2 same as last night. Still waiting on my first deer. So far it’s slowest Halloween I have ever seen.

Had a fawn and a mature doe come in last light - got the added thrill of her looking back for an extended time, at apparently nothing.       This has to be the calm - before the storm.

Had a buck grunting and chasing does all over the woods. Never came close but it was exciting. Had a spike come through at last light. Back at it again tomorrow with my 13 yr old son. He is feeling ill and will not be attending school tomorrow.

i was thinking the same thing, i saw more bucks 2 weeks ago. i caught a trespasser on sunday so that may have something to do with it. he was coming in at night with a flashlight looking for mushrooms. sunday he came in before i was out of the stand spooked my deer buy i was able to sneak up on him
