I used to love bow hunting in the gap opening day of pheasant. Back in the late 80's early 90's you would see 30-40 deer that day. I would sit all day and the small gamers moved them all day. I used to hunt in Montague off of rt 521 but walked in off of rt 206.....the good ol days.

Good luck guys, definitely the perfect day. When I got in last night, I had a nice 8 pointer shadowing a doe through the yard. Had a real nice shooter buck come in to my calling last night, but I was already climbing down as it was just past legal shooting time.

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
