JHbowhunter 5,613 Posted October 11, 2018 (edited) Trying to use up 2017 back straps. Son in college. Holly won’t eat venison. No help here. I grilled a double pack of loins tonight and just ate off the cutting board. No plates. No side dishes. That was my dinner - 10pm. Am I going to die? No veggies no carbs no grains. Just rare meat. Lots of rare meat. Also is it normal to howl at the moon ? Yeah it was like 30 ounces of meat and it’s gone. I took the pic after the first section was nearly gone... Joeybeets 869 Posted October 11, 2018 I think a nice glass of Pinot Noir would have put it over the top. Looks great!!
gobblergetter 1,298 Posted October 11, 2018 Perfectly normal. Sometimes I may add a tater from the garden. All self acquired meal. That's how country boys should roll.
Stan Putz 428 Posted October 11, 2018 No, not wrong. But too much medium rare red meat just sits in my belly, I sometimes know how a lion feels after he kills a zebra and takes a nap beside his kill, it's difficult to move. These days I wrap the leftovers when I am full & have them for lunch the next day, and slip the dogs a few bites to calm them down. If you want the full bloated experience, eat at a Brazilian steakhouse....I'm good the whole next day before eating again.
