I’m between two stand locations for tonight. One focuses on a buck going to beans and the other him going to acorns. Anyone notice a preference by deer this past week? Wind is slightly in my favor either way.

to me at least where I am after a week of season  bigger bucks will not hit fields till real close to dark or after so I would stay in the oaks on acorns think you would have better chance of seeing them before dark. of course you know the deer you hunt better than us....

Beans yellow and brown so went and set up on fresh sign between the bedding area and acorns. A cluster of rubs and a decent size track in the mud. Had a spike walk by around 5:30 and then two does at last light. I think the changing thermals got me. Wind was perfect until the last half hour when the wind stop and my scent was just skirting the bedding area.
