Told my 5 yr old kid that he can come hunting tomorow morning with me.  Which will be his first hunt if the year, well anyway hes been coming into the rooms every 5 minutes for the past hr asking if it's time to go yet haha. Its gunna be a long night.  Might have to sit him down in front of the TV and have em fall asleep to hu ting movies like I used to when. I looked forward to a hunt.  Hoping and praying for a good hunt with my boy in the morning.

Saw a doe and 2 fawns too far to shoot.  Kid did very good up at 5 this morning wide awake ate breakfast and in stand by 6 misty drizzly morning but he didnt complain.  Made it till 830 before he had enough lol  surprised how warm it was so early.  I had a blast watching him watch for deer and asking if every acorn dropping and leave crunching was a deer.

Little kids want to be like dad. And grandpa. Take him with you. Let him have his own backpack and binoculars. Paint his face. You’ll have a hunting partner who will be taking you out to hunt when you slow down 30 years from now.
