Came home from college last night. Wanted to hunt this weekend as I’ve really missed hunting and just wanted to get back out there. Sat in a stand all morning till had to go run some errands mid day.  Saw nothing unfortunately. Then this evening I went to the ground blind and had a doe and fawn come in but run off less than a minute after coming!! Found this guy coming up and start feeding 15 yards in front of me. Adrenaline was pumping with excitement and nervousness. Got off the shot (part hit the gut) and watched him run 60 yards before dropping.  Really happy and fortunate  to finally get a deer this year. Wanna thank my grandfather and dad for helping with the field dressing.  And look forward to more hunting with my family this year.  Goodluck to everyone this season!
