supr78nova
Was thinking about putting up a new pop up ground blind in an area that I am currently hunting with my climber. How long do you think it would take for deer to get used to a new blind being set up in their living room? How long should I leave it before hunting there again? Rusty
It all depends on the area. In many areas you can set them up and hunt the same day. Live to Hunt
archer36
I put up a ground blind and killed a deer two hours later. It's all about placement. Rusty, birdshotnj and Live to Hunt
Swamprat
I'll put a blind in an area where I can brush it in whether it's a few small pine trees or back it into a Laurel thicket. I set up the blind, put down a block and a bag of corn about 50 yards away. The next week I placed it 25 yards in front of the blind. Swamprat
Also if it's a new blind DO NOT put out right away. Take out of box. Open it up. Let it air out for a week or two in back yard. Some of these new blinds stink. birdshotnj, Bill from NJ, archer36 and 1 other 2
deadonshot2
47 minutes is all you need to wait. LOL. I have had bucks walk in on me while I was setting up ladder stands before so you never really know the answer to that question. If it is a pressured area then no amount of time will be long enough if the buck your after thinks something is out of place in his living room. Make it appear like part of the decor will give you the best shot at keeping the deer comfortable walking past it. Good luck Live to Hunt

allmann
Hopefully 2hrs. lol just set up two on the edge on a field of soy beans. I'm sitting in here now. This farm has very little pressure. So I'm hoping it all goes well. First sit of the season. Live to Hunt
supr78nova
The spot where I was looking to place it has a rock wall behind it and a decent size brush pile that i would be able to utilize to brush it in. In this picture it would be just to the right of the clump of three trees on the left hand side of the picture back against the rock wallDoes the smell of a fresh out of the box ground blind seem to affect the deer?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

Live to Hunt
If they smell the blind they will smell you. If you can hunt the wind do that. I used a blind a day after I put it out and could have shot a 7 1/2 year old deer out of it. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
