The hunters butcher...

Now I normally do my own deer but a buddy they has permission with me on private property killed a doe on the 20th.  He normally donates his eab to hhh.  This year we're decided to have one butchered for the land owner

Convince he brought to the hunters butcher..  2 weeks and not a word..  just a regular cut... 2 weeks is obserd..  at this point I don't know if I'd trust the quality or if its even the deer he brought to them..  just had to vent a bit

I have heard absolute horror stories about that guy.. apparently he has a dog food business and I've heard he shorts people meat, and uses it to make his dog food.

Oh, man - nothing but horror stories coming from that butcher... can't remember if the thread was here or at NJH, but, he got roasted.

It's a shame you guys don't live near Old Bridge. Big Dog is tops. Price, turnaround, and quality is great.

This guy is nowhere near me and I have even heard to stay away from him.

It is amazing how people like this stay in business especially with social media that can make or break you pretty quick.

Same here..heard many bad stories from Hunters butcher.

I just dropped off to Chris (Big Dogs) Tues. night. He said should be ready this wknd. That's turrnaround!

I use 2 butchers nowadays, depending on the spot I'm hunting. Make the Shot Processing, in the Highlands. And Big Dogs in Old Bridge. They both do an excellent job. Make the shot is seriously the cleanest shop I have ever seen.. and I've used probably close to 10 butchers over the years. Depending on your location, give either one of these shops a try. No way you'll be disappointed.

Yeah Big Dog is great, I haven't used him this year since he moved farther south from me. ( I wish he didn't move). I tried v roche this year and he is good too.
