JHbowhunter Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) In 54 years I have only seen it rain this hard this long about 7 years ago from hurricane Irene. I remember seeing a car next day stuck in Whittingham parking lot completly under water. My lawn and woods and swamp had never this wet in 16 year been here BEFORE this deluge. I bet we just got 6” in 90 minutes and still coming down but not as intense. I can only imagine the acorns down would be a great bunt in morning on the ridges for sure. Haskell_Hunter Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Yeah, this was an insane storm. I saw a major cell go right through your neck of the woods. That was probably the soaker. I expect a lot of flooding tonight. I didn't expect to see this much rain. Sapere aude. Audeamus. When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
TroutandBucks Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 You will have to duck hunt instead of deer hunting with all the water from the rain. Stay safe with all the rainSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk AWM #2

51smd Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 We had a bolt of lightning strike behind the house, shut the TV off downstairs for a moment and made the smoke detector chirp on second floor. Too close for me.... http://www.rememberingryan.org/

Liv2huntnfish123 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Sky is just starting to clear here by me in Budd Lake. Funny my Dog sleeps right through all the thunder( very fortunate for that) and my cat can’t hide or get under the bed fast enough.
jerseyhunter Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Going to need waders to get to some of the hunting spots today.
