supr78nova Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 How far away from the ground should you be when discharging a bolt into the ground? I'm on my 4th one in the last year. The first one I discharged in January or February when the ground was frozen, the 2nd one may have hit a rock hidden under the dirt and the last 2 have broken when hitting the soft dirt on the lawn. Is there a minimum distance that you need to be away from the ground when discharging it? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk Live to Hunt 1

jerseyhunter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 I've always used the yellow jacket discharge bag for 19.99 and used the same bolt for 5 years at only 6' . How ever I did blunt the practice tip with a blow from a hammer. toxo, LittleM and Merkel 3

Black Bear Bowhunter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Get the one from Barnett. Had a rubber piece that slices and used it for 2 years now without issues. You'll loose the rubber piece occasionally but that's why it comes with 3
Chefhunter Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Some of us have to (forced) because of medical issues, to use cross bows, some of us try to be as perfect as we can, we were not born that way...septicdude...do you walk on water or just pump it.? toxo and Bad64chevelle 2
Shakyjake Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 stop wasting money on discharge bolts. pick up a small discharge target and use a bolt with field tip. been using the same discharge bag and bolt for 7 years. toxo and jerseyhunter 2
