BowhunterNJ
That's pretty interesting, I like the concept of keeping a running blog on the activity. Here is the Northeast blog on that site: http://www.fieldandstream.com/rut-report/northeast

Palawman30
if you look at it you can already tell it doesn't make a bit of sense...... Use the slider and go backwards... Look how many areas had seeking/chasing phase middle of October but are now in Early fall pattern??? lol This just tells me there are a whole lot of people posting reports and don't know what the heck there looking at PredaTorch.com Hot Estrous Doe and Other Deer Scent, Night Predator Lights
BowhunterNJ
That could be too. It would be a very cool report assuming the results were accurate...but it requires hunters to know exactly what stage they are seeing. Some people will see a spike chasing a doe around the woods in early October and say it's peak breeding season in their area...heavy chase phase is on! haha Palawman30

Look how many areas had seeking/chasing phase middle of October but are now in Early fall pattern??? lol This just tells me there are a whole lot of people posting reports and don't know what the heck there looking at I saw the same exact thing and thought...well there goes the credibility there. LOL I was lucky enough to get out for a morning hunt today though, and saw a doe that was definitely nearing estrous. She came by me, tail half-up and to the side the whole time, so I instantly got ready. As she passed me, she was looking back...After she got out around 40 yards I let out a soft mouth grunt and suddenly a decent half rack 6 pointer came busting out of a thicket, grunting up a storm and chasing her. She was bleating every other step and he was grunting right along with her. I could have shot him but he was young and busted up. I ended up seeing three bucks this morning, all well in range, but no shooters, all out cruising for does. I also saw four does, only one of which was ready for some flirting. If you can, I'd start getting out there as much as possible for the next two weeks. It'll only pick-up from here. Palawman30 1 “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. PV216
Heres my rut report. Get your rear end in the tree as often as you can in october, november, then again in december and january. It only takes one hot doe to bring in a good buck whether its the 1st, 2nd, or even the 3rd estrous cycle.
