Seared Backstrap, Filet Mignon Style! (PIX)

Wife is working late, so I decided to treat myself to a good backstrap meal. Threw this together, and it came out unreal. Seared backstrap, done like a traditional filet mignon. Just salt, pepper, and some sage butter. Cooked in a smokin' hot in a  skillet with olive oil, and butter. Served with a charred jalapeño, and some red wine infused onions & garlic. Also made a garden cucumber salad with red onions, dill, and a creamy mayo, white vinegar dressing. Did a glass (or 3 or 4) of some 19 Crimes "The Baniser" dark red with it. Wife doesn't know what she missed.
