Moved out to Missouri from communist Jersey in April.  Missouri bow opens 9-15. Super excited to see what mid west hunting is like.  This year will feel like a out of state hunt all year. The amount of public land here is insane. One piece I've been scouting with my son is 6500 acres. That might see 10-20 hunters a week. It's bow only.  No baiting allowed. No bears and no one's going in the woods and stealing shit. I'm allowed to carry a handgun and the license was 19.00 from September 15-jan 15. Youre only allowed 2 bucks. One with bow before gun season. One with gun. If you don't score with gun your allowed another with bow. Extra doe tags are 7.00. The regs between these two states are crazy.

Not so long ago someone was arguing on this site we don't pay that much for what we get:-) Two bucks  and one doe cost you less than what we pay for one bow permit with no buck:-)

Good luck, Luknikk.  I lived in Chesterfield in the late 80s until about '90 and the people were great out there.  I used to hunt the Bush (as in beer) WMA for birds (ducks, geese, pheasants, quail, and doves) and bass fished it as well.  Even though it was fairly close to the city of St. Louis, it was never crowded.  But "city" out there was only 400K back then and not the 15 million or whatever we have in the tri-state area here....
