Decent Italian Resturant.....In The Area Try It

If I had to choose between the two I would opt for Deloenzos, her meals are more old school, Mama Nina uses a ton of garlic in all their dishes. I was there for the first time last week, went there with 5 other couples, and it's a BYOB

Outback is a far cry from a true steak house

True.. Thats why you'll never see me eating there... I'm talkin Peter Lugers, Mortons, Ruth's Chris etc...

Peter Luger's sucks, IMHO.  All hype, steak is average at best.  Ruth's Chris covers their steaks in butter, and the last time I went I wasn't impressed.  Keen's Steak house on 36th and 6th is a treat if you ever get to go there.

Been there twice and they suck.. Went the second time just to make sure the first time wasnt a fluke.. seems there steaks are aged choice rather than the "prime" they claim to serve..

Been to Keen's four times and never had a bad meal. But I always had the mutton chop with the slab bacon. The Old homestead is also nice.

I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.

well, i may have over stated a little when i said they sucked, But i really dont think they stack up against the steak houses i mentioned... Anyone who thinks Peter Lugers or Ruth's Chris has bad steaks doesnt know what a good steak is....

Peter Lugers maybe good but i can never get a reservation so i will never know. I do preferr Mortons over Ruth's Chris.

Peter Luger's is just okay.  It's really not that great.  You can't pick your cut, you have limited options…I could go on.  Mediocre at best, and mostly all hype, IMHO.

Ruth's Chris is coated in butter.  What is butter?  A variation of MSG.  Put butter on anything and it enhances the flavor.  Not impressed.

I've imported Kobi beef and compared it with US Prime, and the US Prime has beaten it, of course from the right ranch.  I used to be a big steak snob back when I was making good money.  Good meat stands on its own, seared and served.  It doesn't need Montreal seasoning like the Outback cakes on it, and it doesn't deserve to be bathed in butter like Ruth's Chris.  When I order a piece of meat, it's rare, and I order it naked because the quality and flavor of the meat is what I'm paying for.  Too many "steak houses" mask their meats in one of a dozen kinds of ways.

I don't go to steak houses anymore as a result.  Most are gimmicks.  I have a local butcher that takes care of me.  He knows what I want, what I am cooking, and had never let me down.

I agree 100%..  A good steak doesnt need any add ons and it irks me to no end to see other people  smother them in A1 steak sauce or somethig similar... but to each his own... However, Though a good steak is great by itself,  it just so happens I LIKE them just a weee bit better when their flavor is  "enhanced"  with a light coating of butter..
