Haskell_Hunter
Spoke to a buddy of mine in N. NJ. He unfortunately admitted to having a loaded gun 30 minutes after sunset, which is a violation of NJ code. Got a $42 ticket and 5-years probation. First offense ever. I heard subsequent that they have a new CO in N. NJ who wants to break balls. I told him to appeal the 5-year probation, seems unreasonable for a first offense and being honest with a CO. But the message to all bird shooters is to check the regulations before you plan your outing. At sunset you need to unload your weapons, which is different from small game and large game seasons. Sapere aude. Audeamus. When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
