You can bring your own and pay them a fee for bringing you up with the group.  Each time we do this they forget to have a trailer to carry the kayaks up.  The best thing to do is drop your kayak off at the staircase then drive back down to Matamoras.  HH did this last year.  

I might scout the road a little more before the trip to find some free parking and a launch from the road.  One of my buddies comes with us, and he's a cheap SOB.  He's still bitching about paying for the bus ride to the launch.  Worse than a wife...

The top spot is Matamoras, this is where we end.  The Staircase is 6 miles upriver.

I think we start around Pony Eddy.  See this screen shot.

We used to start at Pond Eddy but the first 4 miles are very slow.  The Staircase is below Pond Eddy and begins the stretch with the most "rapids".

I kind of liked that part.  Gave me time to fill up on homebrew for the rapids.

No coordinates, but it is 6 miles north of Matamoras and 4 miles south of Pond Eddy.

So far the street address I have is:  1377 State Route 97, Sparrow Bush, NY  12780

That street address in Google is the wrong location.  I am getting GPS coords now.

When we started at Pond Eddy everyone was too tired to enjoy the cliff jumping at the end.  When we start further downstream we still have lots of energy to enjoy a nice swim at the cliffs.
