From the article…"Gov. Chris Christie announced today he signed a bill (S1730) into law that will require public workers hired after Sept. 1 — from teachers and cops to all local, county and state work employees — to live in the Garden State.

New hires outside the state’s borders will have a year from getting the job to pack up and move. Current public workers will not be affected."

if I were to move to p.a but work in jersey would I have to pay both p.a and jersey taxes?

not subjected to new hires, those that live outside of NJ before the law was signed are grandfathered in, those like me with 17 plus years can't move out

sorry to say NO !!!!!   If you already lived out of state your good, but anyone as a public worker local or state can not move out of NJ without permission, and from what I was told they have not granted anyone the permission even for a hardship. Even the Star-Ledger had a big write up about it.

Why would anyone want to leave this state.......

Does anyone remember freedom?  Anyone?  We have Big Brother reading every email, listening in on every call, health care jammed down our throats.  Gun control laws increasing every day.  Less income for the middle class.  Free stuff (paid for by you and me) for the chronically lazy.  And now the government is telling some of us where we can and can't live.

A second Revolution is on its way.  Let's pray it's bloodless this time, because we need it.
