Carved a spoon.

Took me about 2 hours to carve this spoon from a piece of seasoned hardwood. Could of made it a little smaller but for my first attempt, it came out ok. Finished it off with a little Extra Vergin Olive Oil to seal it and give it a little color. My hand hurt afterwards. Not used to fondling dense wood..

Nice but you should use butcher block oil or mineral oil instead of olive oil which will or can go rancid. You can get miner oil in the baby section of the supermarket.

Good point on the olive oil    . Gonna grab a bottle on the way home tomorrow.
