Bowhunter444
Tonight the bucks were on the move with this aproaching cold front. Just before dark I had a nice buck come in I would say mid 130's - 140's" he was a main frame ten point with a split brow on one side. The buck came in and was feeding on the ear corn I dumped today at lunch time. I had numerous shots but had to sit and watch as he fed and chased of two smaller bucks as I have yet to take a doe. The kicker is I've had three opportunities to take yearling does and have passed because they would maybe dress out at 50lbs. The funny thing is as the big buck chased of one of the smaller bucks the other one would rub a tree in the area then when the big one chased that one the other would rub another tree. This went on till dark and they wandered off. I feel blessed just to have seen a buck of this size because I was on public hunting land, I hope I get another shot at him but if I don't I hope that if another hunter who takes him to knows that he was very lucky. , Palawman30, BHC and Hatchet 3 "Don't forget that you're First Marines! Cousin Brown
Good call, might want to shoot a doe somewhere else. Good luck ! Treestands don't demand, treestands don't complain, treestands simply ask me to sit down and listen.
