My daughter works at an avian rehabilitation center and these were ready for release.  She told me I was not permitted to handle them.  Yeah right.  All I needed was a third arm and a brown phase for the trifecta.  We released a great-horned last month but I was not man enough to reach in the cat carrier and get it.

Very nice. They are a very cool bird. We had one years ago that got hit by a car and couldn't fly. We kept it for a couple months till it was good to go.  When we released it it stayed by the house for 3 days before leaving.
