Ok so today was Sonia first day out. So I decided to hike into a public piece and set us up a few hundred yards apart. Around 730 I get a text 4 deer coming your way.. Few minutes later I drilled my second doe.. So the morning was good start. Sonia passed a small buck and give me the heads up on a few deer and I watched 9 others chase a flock of turkey.. Now the best part, I suffer from severe migraines 2 or 3 times a year.. Well this weekend is a migraine attack .. So Sonia helped me drag this doe a long way while I needed to take breaks from the headaches.. So at least I could do is snap a photo..

Tomorrow is butchering day

That was quick. Congrats.

Don't forget to enter your deer for the contest!

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
