Weathervane makeover

Recommended Posts

Keep it clean guys - no c*** jokes..

Weathervane was oxidized which I didn't mind, but the wind blew it down and broke it. I needed to peen the edges ack to fit, sand, and solder..

The torch made it look worse so I decided to wire brush it all back to original.

Came out nice. Other than a few bullet holes in it it looks brand new lol.Screenshot_20180612-200213.jpegResized_20180607_163408_605.jpeg20180612_191534.jpeg20180612_191539.jpeg20180612_194856.jpeg20180612_200255.jpeg

Came out good. If you try to buy those things they can cost a good buck. I have a few around the farm. When I see them in my travels, I try to pick them up if they are reasonbly priced. I have a few old fence posts left that go down my driveway so I put them on top of the posts as well as a few old birdhouses and signs. The driveway is a long gravel drive through the woods. Guests that visit are always complimenting the antique stuff they see on the way inIMG_0846.thumb.JPG.76aa5ecd3ac30a02d8e0605a67518362.JPGIMG_0848.thumb.JPG.8cb17f29fd9a3ada6b44f1b68c021c3b.JPGIMG_0845.thumb.JPG.17e08e20ef1dcb70ed5e903be1ded7f4.JPG

That's a cool idea.
