I did it, need lots of room, set up an18 "hole" course, set your par values the hole is usually some type of foam ball or block with a bullseye on it, play like gold, fewest shots to the target, hit the target out of the bull add a stroke to close the hole. It's looong distance shooting on the "drive". Then better aimed shots for the putt. Loads of fun but need lots of room.

I own that movie!! Lol, never an issue, we did it on whittingham when I was member or the Appalachian bowmen, usually the first week or two of March, cuts down on folks walking around we used the 3D ranges and all the fields around the barn. Set up the course the night before, heck we even had doglegs, the hedgerows were our "hazards" lol, not sure they still do it but it's a blast.

Haha apparently it’s only out in the Midwest but you basically shoot arrows instead of hitting a golf ball and then have to hit a target for equivalent of getting in the hole

United Bowhunters of PA do an archery golf shoot every year. It’s sometime around the end of February or beginning of March in Limerick, PA. I have been trying to go for the last 3 years but something else always comes up.

I believe you need to use a blunt tip until you are within 20 yards of the hole/target. Must wear flourescent orange.

We did this in the mid sixties up in Watkins Glen NY,at the time those bows we were using could shoot about as far as a golfer could drive a ball! Believe the scores were similar ! Didn’t know it still existed.

It was my favorite part of the Whittingham Traditional shoot.I don't think they do it with compounds. Love to watch your arrow fly!
