Backstraps with Red Wine Reduction (PIX)

Whipped this up tonight for the wife and I. Grilled backstraps with a dry rub (onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper) I grilled the B.S's at high heat to get nice grill lines on them, in the meantime I diced up half an onion, and sauted them in EVOO till they were caramelized. When the onions were done, I  added half cup of broth (chicken or beef doesn't matter much) and a cup of red wine. Not cooking wine, that stuff sucks. A few shakes of soy sauce, about 1/4 stick of butter and let it go on med-high till it reduced, about 8-10 min. Put that on top of the BS's and had a great meal. Served it with a little yellow rice with habanero sauce on the side, and a kale salad.
