Not a bad morning on the Delaware. I started from shore and got a few then saw my uncle in his boat and caught a ride. Top water bite was good. At on point we had a school of stripers pushing herring right at boat and when you threw plug in multiple bass would fight over it.  Nothing huge but a couple in the 26" to 28" range.

That's cool!   Never caught a striper out of the D, you would think with all the times I have fished it I would have but 99% of my fishing has always been N of the gap.

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

How far do they go up river?

All the way up the mainstem and into both tributaries.  I once caught an 18" striper sipping sulphur mayflies in Junction Pool in Hancock, NY where the East meets the West branch to form the Delaware River.  All the trout guides have stories of clients reeling in trout only to have them engulfed by a big cow striper.  I have seen them chasing American shad and I'm talking about 30 lb plus bass all the way up to 7th Heaven Pool near the Junction.

How the hell didn't you melt wearing neoprenes in the boat ????????

or is this some new kind of workout to get into summer shape ??

I just got done doing the twins on the Contender.

Lowers and engine oil changed out, new zincs, ready to roll.

sure hope next weekend isn't another rain packed one.

will be on the Upper D tomorrow.

Pretty sure I know the spot you were fishing today, old Jake Holcombe used to call that section 5 pound rock

In 2018 there is no reason whatsoever to own neoprene waders  :)

But they do make excellent weight loss clothing.  :) :)

has to be a fad that doesn't work.

I been wearing the neoprenes for the last two months, and IM fatter than ever
