Not sure I see any real benefits and that 3 pack cost is astronomical!  Let us know how they work.  Ever since Rage came out with mechanical broadheads, there seems to have been an explosion in new types of broadheads.  I have a feeling most brands will be short lived, but time will tell.  I'm still shooting Muzzy fixed blades, so take that for what it's worth.  I've thought about trying a mechanical just to see what all this fuss was about, but still haven't pulled the trigger.

I didn't pay that price on the website... got them for $28.00 on ebay.. I never liked Muzzys, could never get them to fly right,I'm still a Thunderhead guy. Tried mechanicals, too many problems with them.

those broadheads remind me of those massive drills that bore tunnels, I'm sure they will do the same on game !!!  Keep us updated.

Interesting.  I'm still a bowhunting newbie as this will be only my 3rd season coming up.  But I didn't want to complicate things with mechanicals when I began and I have stuck with Muzzys.  They fly exactly to the same point as my field tips every time and I shoot both at targets interchanageably just to be sure (thanks, Matty!).  For $28, they might be worth trying!  Again, hope it works well and please let us know your results.

I posted about  this head a couple years ago on NJH... It's a interesting concept, actually been out for awhile but hasn't caught on for some reason.... the videos of how the blood pours out so quick from the huge round hole are what caught my eye...

Let us know how it works out Tim

If you would like to try another new broad head this year than check out the Dead Ringer Trauma pictured here after taking a deer last winter bow season. Talk about damage! Also check out what is fast becoming the best selling new broad head on the market today called the Rampage Hybrid also from Dead Ringer. This one cuts on contact just like a fixed blade then open like a mechanical You can get the Rampage at Walmart but the Trauma at http:/www.deadringerhunting.com.

That head reminds me a little of the Atom broadhead that came out years ago...which was more so "wire" based blades but the same kind of spherical design.

Interesting looking head, but obviously not easy to resharpen blades if you tend to do that.

I see you have had trouble with Muzzy's and even mechanicals, have you ever tried the SlickTricks?  Really nice compact fixed head that is extremely accurate and yields really good blood trails IMO.  I've been shooting them for a number of years now.

In years past I had lost quite a few deer to rage broadheads. I actually made the switch back to fixed blade G5's a couple years ago and haven't lost a deer since. They fly great and are easy to tune and I don't have to worry about them opening.

Every time I consider trying a mechanical, someone posts something like this that makes me stay away.  My Muzzys shoot great and kill as dead as any broadhead, so why change now?
