870 paint job

Took my black synthetic 870 and gave her a make over 

I’ll post a complete picture tomorrow after the sealer drys overnight

Bones, great looking project!  Thinking of doing exactly this to my 870 so I hope you don't mind a couple questions .  Is the Brakleen best for cleaning before painting or are there other options?  I'm assuming the paint is like a Rustoleum, but what kind of sealer are you using?   Thanks, Bob

I use break cleaner or carburetor cleaner to degrease everything but the working moving parts.

its important to do it so the paint sticks and stays on.

the sealer is rustolum outdoor spray sealer Matt finish I do two coats don’t over do any of the spraying or you’ll get drip runs, 

hanging the parts so you have the ability to paint all areas at once is the way to do it

How do you get the vegetation to stay on with it hanging up while painting?

How is the paint and sealer holding up to the elements etc. Since you've done this?...been almost 3 years.
