Finally hooked into one.

After 2 trips down , only having one run off and no landed fish , we tried a quick morning trip this morning . Wind picked up and was ripping after the rain moved out. After soaking some bunker for about an hour and throwing plugs , the bait rod finally went down. 1/4" short from a legal fish so Back in it went. Got checked by a c/o on the way out and had a nice chat with him before we left . Looks like they're slowly picking up .

Lmao if it wasn't such a known area I wouldn't have burned that spot . 

 

Thanks guys. Was just nice to finally hear some screaming drag . Hopefully get a few more in the next few weeks . Looking forward to catching blues too !
