BHC Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Had some free time this afternoon with the wife and kids down the shore. So I headed over to the Clinton Range with my Savage 220f, she is still driving tacks !!!! It was a pleasure to shoot without others there, the range seemed much cleaner then it was last summer, so with that I do hope others are respecting the public ranges more then in the past. In a few months the public ranges will be packed, but hopefully clean !!! BowhunterNJ 1
Axiom Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 You sound like my wife "clean", " clean", "clean".... who cares if its clean, we's men aint we?..
BHC Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 You sound like my wife "clean", " clean", "clean".... who cares if its clean, we's men aint we?.. this shows me any others on here how much respect you have just not for others but for the great outdoors.....it's our sole responsibility to clean up our own mess at these public ranges and the woods while hunting or any other outdoor activity. Your the typical New Jersey JO and AH that shouldn't even be in the woods !!!! Your from Hudson County, the armpit of NJ, so your use to seeing & smelling garbage !!!
Haskell_Hunter Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I'm an arsehole, I know that. However, to BHC's point, it's hard to be good. Being a d!ck is easy. I've never taken the easy route in anything I do. I'm not perfect, don't claim to be. But I'm the squirrelly dude you see returning the cart to the inside of the store instead of leaving it in my parking space. With that said, I'm the guy who also apologizes to the guy in the shooting spot next to me after raining him with shells because it's crowded and I don't have a net to catch spend shells. Common courtesy is in short supply nowadays, and I'll be damned if I don't go out of my way to go the extra yard to show some. Call it karma or "we reap what we sow", regardless, being excellent to one another is in short supply and I won't compromise being a good guy. Sapere aude. Audeamus. Axiom Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 this shows me any others on here how much respect you have just not for others but for the great outdoors..... I think the only thing it shows is i prefer to leave my wife or mom at home whem i'm out hunting or target practicing... And FYI, I do find myself picking up others peoples trash alot almost every time i'm out, but you wont hear me b*tching about it... WHY?... because it wont help for one and two, i aint nobodies mom.. And another thing, Im not "from" Hudson County.. I'm from Virginia and North Carolinia and pretty much grew up in the woods.. Heck, i was out there so much my mom nick named me " John John of the jungle ".. I always thought that was corny but........
Haskell_Hunter Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 I'm from the north. The state with the motto, "Live free or die". To most that means nothing. I don't care, that's their business. But to me it means a lot, and I wear that over my heart. That's my business. But like I said before, it takes a better man to rise above the angst and anger to do the right thing. For me it's something as simple as returning the cart to the store versus leaving it in your parking spot. I bring my own broom to the range to be respectful to other shooters. Sure, there are other people who might feel like it's their privilege to leave brass all over the ground or targets on the range. I need to show my kids that there are better people than that, and let them know that we can be those people. No one is going to thank us, but gratitude might come in a more ethical hunter, or a cleaner range. I have a responsibility and obligation to ensure that the right kind of people go to the range. They take care and pride in the range, and they do what it takes to ensure that shooting sports are done in a safe and responsible manner. And if you're shooting and can't pick up your crap, I don't care if you can shoot a rabbit running at 1000 yards, you're still an irresponsible shooter. Sapere aude. Audeamus. Axiom Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 And if you're shooting and can't pick up your crap, I don't care if you can shoot a rabbit running at 1000 yards, you're still an irresponsible shooter. I'd say, if someone can shoot a running rabbit at a 1000 yards that means they have put in their fair share of practice time and so they are about as responsible as a shooter can be... ... The fact that they dont pick up there spent casings just makes them a pig...oink oink oink...
BHC Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 You sound like my wife "clean", " clean", "clean".... who cares if its clean, we's men aint we?.. A man leads by example and takes responsibility for their actions !! Then you go on to two post claming you do clean up after yourself, also that your not from Hudson County but from the Virgina and NC, but on the other web site you kept preaching your from Jersey City......... FYI: they do have medication and treatment for people like you with Bi-polar syndrom

I moved to where i am now from Hudson County... But i grew up in Va and NC and so thats where i'm from .. I hope that clears things up for you..

Gruntmaster Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I take the comment reference to Hudson very disrespectful. I grew up the Union City, I have done my share of cleaning up others mess along more streams and public property than most have ever dreamed of. My boy scout troop with my leadership has led many a cleanup program aiming at teaching them the proper way to treat our environment. Next time use some adult judgement when grouping people. FyI .... Don't get me wrong, I not defending anyones actions here, just making a statement, grouping all people from Hudson, is similar to saying all hunters are slobs.
