These are some photos of what i'm seeing at one of my spots.. Nothing great but, depending on how much more that 8 pointer grows, he may become a target for my new compound.. we'll see................

Nice young bucks. I bet there's a bigger one around.

Thier father is out there, and he's Illinois big.. seen him a couple times about half a mile up the road...  He may show up during the rut, who knows...

As nice as that one is, its really not the one im looking for..  There is a bigger one. A granddaddy of big daddies .. Its Rack is a little bigger even WITHOUT the velvet and has an almost perfectly symetrical rack and 10 points... But if this one shows up first, i'll probably take it...

I let both those eights walk last year and it is nice to see them make it through to this year. The one circled in red is the same one on the following pic.

I kinda thought the same thing... wasnt sure though..  You must be hunting that farm down the ridge, no?..

BTW  that huge buck we were talking about last year, the one you think is dead, is the one i call "grandaddy".. He's still out there or its one that looks just like him... Last time i saw him was about mid night towards the end of feb 2013 ..  Its gotta be one for the books... :elch:

We hunt close enough since last year I sent you pics of that nine you shot. I remember what road you hunt off since you mentioned it last year to me. When you say books, you mean Pope and Young? I have pics of the two above and a bunch of smaller one's as well.
