BowhunterNJ Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Man that cool morning and major drop in temps last night had to get the blood flowing for a bunch of you guys! Felt like fall, even though it was only in the upper 60s, compared to the Death Valley like weather we've been having...it felt like October!
BowTechExperience Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) It feels great out.. Time to put that bow in your hand and get practicing .....Only 50 days left... less than 2 months.. Edited July 25, 2013 by BowTechExperience
Axiom Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Got down to 57 where i'm at in Chester...Nice break from the heat but, that just a bit too much of a break IMO... ...
Haskell_Hunter Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I break a sweat over 72°F. Anything below that is nice! I can actually open the windows in the house and go outside without feeling like someone's following me around with a flame thrower. Good day to hit the woods and do some scouting. jerseyhunter, Bucksnbows and BowhunterNJ 3 Sapere aude. Audeamus. When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

BHC Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 It was a great change up this morning, I left my house for work at 0420 and it was 62 with no humidity !!!!! Stratus 1
Bucksnbows Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I break a sweat over 72°F. Anything below that is nice! I can actually open the windows in the house and go outside without feeling like someone's following me around with a flame thrower. Good day to hit the woods and do some scouting. I always tell my wife than anything over 70 degrees is a waste of the sun's energy. Our rivers got cool enough to trout fish again. At three spots on the Musky where I had meetings today, I got 65, 64 and 63.5 degree water temps! Trout were rising at 2 spots and actively feeding mid depth at the other spot. Wish I had time to toss some dry flies....fall will be here sooner than we think and I can't wait. https://www.troutscapes.com/ https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
PV216 Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Today definitely reminded me of fall. Just take of 25 more degrees, put me in a tree with my bow and I'm all set! BHC 1 "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Thomas Jefferson
Matty Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Won't be long now! Only 44 days and some of us will be sitting in the woods, bow in hand again! “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
Bucksnbows Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Today is another nice, cool day. It has really extended our trout fishing this summer along with the rains and good flows. So far, we've only had less than 3 weeks all summer where we couldn't safely practice catch and release for trout. I'm loving that! Fall won't be far off now... https://www.troutscapes.com/ https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
Gruntmaster Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Relax boys...We all know it's going to be in the 80's come opening day, ha ha. I love when it's nice and cool just like the rest of us. It's August, and feels like October, got to love it.
