Ephesians Chapter 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Joshua Chapter 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Unbelievable what those men went through. My Dad probably would have been there if he hadn't been wounded on Guam, along with battling malaria....he saw quite a bit of action, but the memories of the sickness affected him more emotionally in his later years.

My Dad was also wounded at Guam, and contracted malaria. But, he was in the US Army 77th Infantry, that was under the command of the USMC for the invasion.

Tough men.
