nycredneck Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I live near Red Bank and we have been freshwater fishing alot this season and I'm thinking a week day, half day, party boat fluke trip might be a fun experience for them. First week of July I have time off, so can anyone recomend a good boat they know of. One that might be a little more kid friendly than the others. It's been a while since I have been on one. Thanks for the help. Bill Elite Pure... Bow only, deer hunter
BowhunterNJ Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Hey Bill, two boats to check out are the Sea Tiger 2 and the Atlantic Star, both out of Atlantic Highlands. I know a bunch of guys here have fished on the Sea Tiger, and Jeff M (moderator here) was a mate on there until he became a NYC police officer. I've fished the Atlantic Star a number of times, and Captain Tom and the crew there have always been great. They both run two 1/2 fluke trips a day all summer and are very family friendly. The fishing up that way tends to be better as well, so they should get into some fish and have some fun The Sea Tiger is a sponsor on here, and I have a link up for them under our NJ Saltwater Fishing Party Boats section: https://www.njwoodsandwater.com/links/link/5-sea-tiger-ii/ Or you can go there directly via: http://www.seatiger2.com And here is a link to Atlantic Star: http://www.atlanticstarfishing.com/ Good luck fishing with your boys, take some pics and share them here, we'd love to see them!
nycredneck Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the tip, I will certainly go on one of them and look foward to a fun, first boat trip with my boys. Cant wait to post pics of the trip! Edited June 17, 2013 by nycredneck BowhunterNJ 1 Elite Pure... Bow only, deer hunter

GunDogs Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 If you're looking for a 3/4 day trip instead of a 1/2 day trip, Captain John out of Keyport is also a very spacious and clean "kid friendly" party boat. My 10 y/o cousin normally sleeps on one of the booth seats in the cabin until 1st drop. http://captainjohnsfishing.com/
