Over fifty caliber and uses smokeless powder. I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
BowhunterNJ
Is that the latest, .50+ cal and smokeless == weapon of destruction?
CJ3a
I far as I can tell. Also if it can produce 12,000lbs/ft reguardless of caliber. Everyone keeps saying 50BMG but it seems to be all 50's. Edited June 4, 2013 by CJ3a I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted. Haskell_Hunter
The poster at that links states it's a black powder gun. Black powder is exempt under the law. I had to check it out myself. Technically a 12GA shotgun is a .72 cal weapon. I have an 11-87 with a rifled barrel, which was nearly made illegal under the law. That too is exempt. I think there's really only one gun that was made illegal under the .50cal law, and I doubt its ever been used in a crime. I'm not a gun expert, but I overheard someone mention that. Sapere aude. Audeamus. When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
CJ3a
Yes he did use black powder but he also used trail boss which is smokeless. I hate to get in that debate with a NJ judge. The way I read it the 50 smith and wesson is also gone. I hope I am wrong. I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
