nice little hunt

While working a gobbler on the limb that I believed to be a Jake...Another Turkey pitched out of the trees about 80 yards away and landed just outta sight.

Suspecting it was a Hen and that she may evenually be standing in front of me when the Gobbler showed up, I raised the gun onto my knee and got ready.

As 'She' stepped into view ...'She' had a white head !!! ....It was a Silent Gobbler!.

He turned to walk up the hill, and I could see his Thick Beard.   At 30 yards....The Browning Barked.

Nice! I need to get out again. I haven't been out there in forever now! You guys are killing the birds and killing me! LOL Maybe tomorrow! Congrats on that smart old Tom.

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
