That trap door was built as you have it , but probably a spot for a cleaning/clearing rod. Remember gun prices vary greatly based on overall condition such as rust and wearing on bluing.

I'm keeping the trapdoor lots of history with it

Same as the Winchester but for the right price I'll let it go

If not they will both have a place over my fireplace.
