So I was waiting in the parking lot for my daughter to get done with her dance school, and across the street are a few corn fields with hedgerows, I see a small animal it was far, I grab the binos, and it's a very small fawn milling around, after sometime the doe comes out.

My neighbor said he found 4 fawns along my creek in grassy areas last week. I got a buck with knobs hitting my birdfeeder every morning.

Looks like it's gonna be a good year for fawns as long as the yotes don't get em.

Sent from my flip phone with the big buttons so I can see them

Jon and I saw a "walking fetus" fawn on Wednesday or Friday of A week turkey.

That would put conception around October 10th-15th (if I counted 28 weeks back correctly). Not unheard of, I've seen bucks shadow does that early. A lot of times the real old does come in early around then.

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Heard one calling for her mom in the dark yesterday am. Very eerie sound, and loud.

With all the yotes on our property can't imagine that fawn will last long
