Out in the blind with the bow. Raining pretty steady now. No gobbles on the roost this morning. Got a few gobbles with some soft calling. 6 big boys are in the field 150yds away. We will see what happens

That's the place to be in this weather and the setup looks great! Patience! Once you've let the birds know you're there, let them hunt you.

I didn't get a B week permit, so I'm wishing I could be sitting out there right now too.

GOOD LUCK!!!

“I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear

Had the 6 toms in the field for 3 hours til they wandered off. Then a lone hen. Got out at 10am. Hit up another piece a half hour away. Got dressed. Took the gun out this round. Grabbed decoy and walked in. Called a little on the way in. Nothing. Almost got to my spot and wham turkeys running. Wtf Went back to the truck and went home. Tough frustrating day.
