Recently got my permit to fish the pier... Ive heard some good things from a few guys who have fished the pier..Any of you guys ever fish it? how have you done? Likes,dislikes? thinking about fishing it the first time on Sunday and just looking for some input..

I have drifted in the cans.. I was asked to leave the area by a few guys in a boat with some pretty intimidating guns..

 

Caught a bunch of fluke drifting right outside the cans though.

Got that in Fall 2011 Pier 1 right side. 40lbs Great Porgy fishing also, all the way to the end Pier 3, we were pulling them in as soon as the hook hit the water !

 

Good Luck, wish I could still fish there. I was a contractor working there, that's how I was able to fish.

gonna give it a go on sunday.. plan on putting in a loooong day.. see if we can get a fish or 2..

I was at Earle Weapons Station working onboard the USNS Leroy Grumman for a few weeks. I would fish off the fantail with some crew members, we caught some huge stripers off the ship at the end of the pier. Good luck and I'm sure you will catch some monsters
