Just a tip (pun intended)

When walking though the brsh or really anywhere with your rod for that matter. It's always prudent to carry the rod handle first and the tip to the rear, so as no to get it caught on anything and possibly break. About 35 yrs ago my sister was helping me move and got my fly rod caught going through a gate. She didn't know any better and it was my fault for not carrying it my self but I was carrying the heavy stuff..

Good tip! Definitely less likely to snap a tip carrying it that way. I'm sure it happens to people every year around now trout fishing and walking through the woods to get to the spots!
