Deeper Diver question....

I was reading the info form walkers page and have a question about the disc size and line #. Do you have to use the line size it says for each size? It seems to get the desired depth, you would have to use the # line. I will be fishing Spruce Run, Round Valley and Merril Creek and would like to get three of these for different sizes for deeper depth but only have 1 rod and reel. I was going to use 12-17 3 line.

I use 20lb braid (power pro). then I use 12lb floro as the leader from the disk to the lure. I'm sure the line difference from the instructions will make some difference but not much. good luck let us know how you do.
