Food Plot Trees at Wal-Mart

Recommended Posts

Wal-Mart has Food Plot Trees by Realtree, a few different species of oak and chestnut. Anyone have success with any of these? I’m thinking about planting a couple of their blight resistant Chestnut trees.

Yes my wife bought 20 chesnut trees 2 years ago cause she though it was a good deal not one of them made it.I had them fenced and had a tree wrap on them all so it wasn't from animals.I even lined each hole with top soil 5 feet deep under the trees Hsieh to the shale on the area I wanted them. All the other trees I put in from other places are still growing strong and I even ripped the dead trees out and planted saw tooth oak and they are growing were the chesnut trees died.

I bought a bunch from home depot a few years back. They are doing pretty good so far and I got a dewarf tree that gave me some small apples this past summer.I will be picking up a few more dewarf trees in the next few weeks Apple and pear hope they give fruit as fast as the first on did.
