Saturday Hopatcong Report

Well my first trip out was a bust, but it was great to just be out there..was in no hurry to get up there knowing the water temps were around 40..we threw everything at them but couldn't find them..bounces around to where we found 45 degree water but it just wasn't meant to be..can't wait to get back out there..just give it some time to warm up a little

How was the lake level? Looks like she's filling up early this spring which is good for the river below it.

Were you out bass fishing seen a bunch of bass boats out there the last few days wondering if some tournaments were going on. Down by me at Lakes End Marina the crappies are there.

Yea that's because I didn't call Lou hahaha..I told you why..lake was filling..I don't know about any tournaments but there were a bunch of guys out there giving it hell..everyone I spoke with didn't have much to report either

Went out for first time 2 Saturdays ago to Splitrock and also zeroed. Water temp then was 35 degrees, few more weeks should change things.

i usally do good with the crappie in the early spring jig head with a curly tail under a bobber and white seems to be the best

the crappie in the pond we fish love a white tail and pink head jig with a bobber....
