Thinking about getting a new slug gun. Having a hard time warming up to the savage with the plastic stock. I am looking at this one http://www.luxusarms.com/ The 20 gauge is not listed but the owner says he has a few barrels in stock. Not sure about going to a single shot but they sure do look nice.

I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.

Yeah definitely on the pricey side, but beautiful looking guns.

It all boils down to what you're looking for in a gun.

Never heard of Luxus Arms myself, how did you come across them?

I am a member of accurate reloading. The owner is active poster selling walnut blanks at first and then single shots. He also sells some wild walnut blanks for the TC encore.

You could check out the Browning bolt only comes in 12 guage.IMO if I was going to spend $3500 on a slug gun it would be a Tar Hunter.

Hunting and fishing is not a sport to me its a way of life:rock:

I like the Tar-hunt but I want a 20 in left hand. Savage seems to be the only one that caters to the lefty.

that gun is expensive, and to each there own, but an H&R is inexpensive and is very accurate. I just picked one up at cabelas.......and I love it.

I'm a lefty too and in case you didnt guess by my screen name, I have an Ithaca Deerslayer 3. Ithaca's are lefty friendly because they eject shells from the bottom of the gun. I got mine with a left handed thumb hole stock too. Also, you can get the DS3 in either a 12 or 20 gauge. They're relatively expensive but nothing like a Tarhunt or the gun pictured above.

I have yet to find or see a factory shotgun out shoot a Savage, for roughly $500 (depending on what finish) it is well worth it, get yourself a good glass, Leupold or Zeiss and your good to go....Seems like the majority of them like the Remington Accu-Tips 3"

I have a Ithaca 12 now. A model 87 when they were in limbo with owners.

I will pass on the H&R don't like the workmanship and to many reports of miss fires.
