Anyone else going out for the flounder opener? I can't wait for a panko flatty sandwich!

Unfortunately yes, the regs are still at 2 fish. I usually fish northern Barnegat bay. Interested to see what the bottom looks like on the machine this year. Hopefully some of our holes and depressions are still there.

Yeah 2 fish is rough...especially flounder fishing where you will be anchored, chumming, using insanely priced bloodworms, etc.

Was awesome when it was 10 fish...the last few years since it's been too, I'm sure the involvement level of many fishermen has declined significantly.

Chris if you are on a boat go super super light. I use 6lb braid on a few trout rods and have an absolute blast. 1/2oz of lead until the current really gets going. When fishing from land I used a 7'6" Loomis mag lite. They are fun and deliscous.

Probably won't be out on the opener but will probably fish for them a couple times this season

Won't be out for the opener but will be out a few times before striper season

Hey, I once got handed down underwear and a paperclip for Christmas, and it was a great gift. - Si

Last time I looked at the market, trout is a lot cheaper than what it costs after your done with license, bait, fuel, all the gear we purchase.

That has not made a change it my plans this year.

Think for a second how much we spend each year on deer hunting.

Worth every cent.

Carry On.
